Development of the conservatory can be traced back to the 15th Century, when throughout Northern Europe it was fashionable to grow oranges. A protected enclosure was required in order to maintain a desired climate for the oranges to grow. These buildings were known as “Orangeries.” As these structures became larger and their use more diverse, they developed into a popular focus of family life. Their popularity, although widespread in Europe, has only recently begun to take off in the U.S. Their beautiful designs and versatility as room additions, breakfast nooks and home offices has fueled this new market.

A choice of Mahogany or Aluminum. Only the finest African furniture grade Mahogany is used if your selection is timber. The mahogany can be stained or painted any color you choose, our unique wood treatment assures you of minimal maintenance. All surfaces above the eaves are maintenance free, powder coated aluminum, that covers the mahogany. Our aluminum conservatories are structurally flawless, thermally broken, powder coated surfaces that can be colored any color you desire.
